Nathan J. Kim, 51, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 20, 2016, in his sleep, at home. He was a 1982 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. Nathan was an avid bodysurfer, surfer, skier and loved to travel. He is survived by his wife, Rossana Kim, mother, Yoshiko Kim; brother, Muriel of Reno; as well as many family and friends here in Las Vegas, as well as Honolulu. He was well loved and will be missed by many. A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Ke'ehi Lagoon Beach Park, 465 Lagoon Drive, Honolulu, HI 96819 (808) 831-7111. A luncheon will follow at John A. Burns Hall, 2685 N. Nimitz Highway, Honolulu, HI 96819 (808) 836-0502. Although lunch will be catered, you are welcome to bring a Hawaiian dish or his favorite food. Aloha attire, BYOB. Scattering of his ashes will be at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 12, at Mokuleia Beach, Haleiwa, Hawaii. Paddlers are welcome as we will be 0-5 yards from the shore.
