Norman Ray Horn was a hard working, compassionate and loving family man who passed away at the age of 84 years old in Las Vegas, NV on August, 7, 2025. Norman was born on June 6, 1941 in Sioux City, Iowa to Raymond and Bernadine Horn. Norman was one of six siblings, he had two older sisters Jean and Kay as well three younger siblings, Judy, Bonnie and Bill. Norman married his wife Jane in 1963 and together they welcomed two children D’Anne and Mark Horn.
Norman had many educational and career achievements throughout his life including serving in the United States Air Force, becoming a Police Officer for the Inglewood Police Department, Flying for Civil Air Patrol, graduating UNLV with Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration and eventually working in insurance as both an adjuster and agent.
With a great love of aviation, cars, motorcycles and traveling, Norman loved seeing new places and completing personal projects including building a family cabin all on his own. Norman greatly cherished and prioritized his family and pets. He never stopped learning throughout his life and was always looking for the next opportunity to expand his knowledge often taking additional courses or learning new languages during his free time.
Norman was the type of man who would do anything for those he loved, he made such a positive impact on his family and friends throughout his life and he will be greatly missed.
Norman is survived by his wife, Jane Horn and his two children D’Anne & Mark. He is also survived by his two sisters Judy and Bonnie, his three grandchildren Ashley, Brandon and Christopher in addition to his two great grandchildren Finley and Hudson.
