Olinda Jean Baker

JEAN BAKER 1931-2014 O. Jean Purdy Baker, 83, a loving mother, grandmother and devoted friend, Las Vegas, went to Heaven in peace May 8, 2014. Jean was born March 21, 1931, in Ovid, Colo., and the family moved to Las Vegas in 1942. Jean graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1949 and has been active in the Las Vegas community since. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Olenda Purdy. Jean is survived by her loving family, sister, Geraldine Blevins; and brothers, Forrest and Roland Purdy; daughter, Nanette Pico; sons, Gregory and Mark Pico; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 9-9:45 a.m. Friday, May 23, with services following at 10 a.m., both at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas. A celebration of life will follow.
