Owen Monroe "Obie" Limbaugh, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, passed away July 13, 2015. He was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Franklin, Tenn., to Arlie and Mary Limbaugh. Owen proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He went to work for Thriftimart and retired from Nevada Carbide. Owen is survived by his wife, of 64 years, Mary Juanita Limbaugh; three children, James (Olga) Limbaugh, Beth (Dick) Arnold and Lenay (Mike) Miller; sisters, Evelyn Wood, Margie Limbaugh and Bernice Fields; brother, Wayne Limbaugh; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. "Poppie" loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and golfing. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 17. Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July, 18, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Graveside services following at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
