Pascual Anselmo Medina, 82, of North Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 23, 2012. He was born April 14, 1930, in Totatiche, Jalisco, Mexico, and was a 50-year resident of Nevada. He retired from the construction industry. He was married to Maria del Socorro Talamantes and they just celebrated their 49th anniversary Oct. 1, 2012. He was active in his church, St. Christopher's Roman Catholic Church, for many years as a member and as a eucharist minister. He devoted himself to God, his wife and his family. He enjoyed talking about the Bible to his children and grandchildren. He received and treated everyone with respect and honor, regardless the circumstances the person may have been in that precise moment. He opened his home to many without ever asking for anything in exchange and even making them feel as part of the family. He will always be remembered as a man of great faith! He was preceded in death by his parents, Ascencion Medina and Constanza Jara; sister, Herlinda Medina; brothers, Nicolas, Eugenio, Luis, Erasmo, Rafael and Refugio Medina; sisters, Cesaria Medina de Flores and Guadalupe Medina de Urena; and granddaughter, Selena Medina. He is survived by his wife, Maria del Socorro Talamantes de Medina; his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia D. Flores and Martin Flores Delgado; son and daughter-in-law, Ismael R. Medina and Shannon Vargas; daughter and son-in-law, Sara M. Martinez and Blas; son and daughter-in-law, Javier E. Medina and JoAnna; daughter and son-in-law, Judith C. Bolanos and Victor; 21 grandchildren, Martin, Daniel, Christian, and Aracely Flores, Nichole, Lita, Sinci, Angelina and Ismael R. Medina (Jr.), Christopher Caples and Antonio Soto, Ariana, Blas, Adrian, Andrea, and Diego Martinez, Serafin, Mayela, Gabriela, and Hugo and Victoria Bolanos; and five great-grandchildren, Isaiah Vital, Andre and Anessa Brown, and Jazmine and Jayden Melendez. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at St. Bridget Roman Catholic Church, 220 N. 14 St., Las Vegas. Burial following at Eden Vale Memorial Park, 1216 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
