Paul Rodriguez Sr., 79, of Las Vegas, passed away of conjunctive heart failure at this home June 11, 2012, with his loving wife, of 43 years, Judy, at his side. He was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Langeloth, Pa., and was a 56-year resident of Nevada. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Quincy as a language interpreter. He was a member of IBEW Local 357 for 36 years. He worked at YESCO for over 20 years and, lastly, at the Mirage Hotel. Paul was preceded in death by a son, Michael Mire Rodriguez; daughter, Tiffany Miesel Phillips; and a sister, Julia Yeakel. He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Paul Rodriguez Jr.; daughters, Mona (Steve) McKinlay, Sheri (Mike) Bozner and Tomi Newman; 31 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Nora Adams, Marci Orbovich and Patty Backel; sister-in-law, Trudy (Harold) Stubbs; brothers-in-law, Ed (Linda) Johnson, Keith (Jennifer) Johnson; nieces, Lori Matyskiel, Tina Sanchez and Krissi (Micah) Lenos; and numerous great-nieces; and great-nephews. Viewing will be 10-11 a.m. Monday, June 18, with services following, both at the LDS Chapel, 6100 W. Alta. Burial following at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.
