Peter Sam Poulos

Peter Sam Poulos passed away Jan. 16, 2015, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in San Francisco. A Las Vegas native, he was part of Las Vegas community activities and the growth throughout his life. Always working at helping people make their lives better, he worked in insurance and financial services primarily. He was also active at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, being a member of one of the founding families. He served in the U.S. Navy right out of high school. He graduated from Las Vegas High School and attended community college. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Venea Poulos. He is survived by his sister, Christine; his children, James and Stephanie; and grandchildren, Lauren and Zachary. Viewing will be 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, with Trisaigon following at 5 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, all at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 S. El Camino Road. Burial following at Bunkers Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a donation to St. John's Greek Orthodox Church
