Petru Hoadrea

Petru Hoadrea passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 15, 2021 in Las Vegas. Petru was born in 1937 in a small beautiful Romanian mountain village of Trainei. He is preceded in death by his wife Aurelia, and siblings Nicolae and Maria. He is survived by his children, Petru Hoadrea Jr. and his children; Adrian Hoadrea and wife Arlene, children Isabella and Natalie; and Jimmy Hoadrea and wife Monci, children Jimmy Rey and Zoey Aurelia.

A butcher by trade, Petru moved to the USA in 1979 with his beloved wife and two sons to pursue the American dream. Their journey was an incredible one, and their adventure began in the Bay Area as they welcomed a 3rd son. He embraced American life with traditions, golf and baseball while taking immense pride and joy in their sons. As Eastern Orthodox Christians, Petru and his family were very involved in the church. In the late 1980s, Petru moved his family to the Pacific Northwest, enjoyed the outdoors with lots of fishing, camping and get-togethers, eventually retiring to Las Vegas.

Petru loved his daily 3-mile walk and spent time working on the backyard and fishing at Lake Mead. Singing and dancing were a huge part of Petru's life, and he and his wife were always the life of the party. Their home was often full of guests, the roar of laughter and amazing food. They made friends easily and are loved by so many.

We find peace knowing he is reunited with his wife and loved ones in heaven. We love him immensely and miss him deeply. May his memory be eternal.
