Raquel R. Solorio

Raquel R. Solorio, 72, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013. She was born in Petatlan, Mexico, and resided in Las Vegas for 43 years. She was married for 48 years to her loving husband, Angel M. Solorio, who predeceased her. Raquel was a U.S. Air Force spouse, of 20 years, and worked as a teacher's assistant for 23 years, most of that time with special needs children. She was loving, caring and always put others first. Everyone felt welcomed in her home and never left without a taste of her great cooking! Raquel is survived by her four children, Jose, Manuel, Carmen and Michael; six grandchildren, Ada, Raquel, Michael, Pepe, Kathy and Jose; and three great-grandchildren, Ada, Angel and Izabella. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m., Monday, April 1, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Funeral Mass will be at 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, at St Andrew's Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City. Burial following, at 10:30 a.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City. "Mom, we love you dearly. Siempre estaras con nosotros."
