Reginald A Brown

December 28, 1938 — March 4, 2023

Dad was so many things to so many people. He was husband, father, grandfather, brother-in law, uncle, and friend. He is now and forever in our hearts! His personality provided sunshine on a dark day. His advice was exceptional and appropriate for any occasion. His work ethic echoed his Jamaican and Haitian roots which was working until you drop and work more!  We benefited from his sharp wit and savvy ways. We reach for those pearls of wisdom each and everyday. For dad, moved us in every way. People weren’t strangers to him but just friends he hadn’t met! Dad was born in 1938 and he witnessed so many disparities among the human race! He never allowed unfairness to dictate his narrative for he was an exceptional person. He believed character would drive him to excellence. Excellent was what he was! He was required to work shutdowns at the refinery, and came home the following day with a burst of energy. He was a provider. He was a beacon to all of us in every way! Although, he experienced pain in his later years, he still managed to smile and have a broken heart. His determination to stay represented Muhammad Ali on his best day! His calling home leave us with a broken heart! When I prayed for my dad, I asked the lord to heal him and bring him home. I guess we had two different definitions of home! My intention was earthly home but God’s plan was a spiritual home!  Thank you God for blessing us with him for so long!
