Richard (Red) Meeks Davis

Richard (Red) Meeks Davis, age 90 of Las Vegas, passed away on Friday, January 6th , 2023 at his family’s home surrounded by loved ones.  He was born June 21, 1932 in Alabama to parents Gaines and Ola Mae Davis. Despite his busy schedule of working as a Race and Sportsbook Manager and later working as a security officer prior to retirement, being with family and friends was Richard’s passion and delight; He also loved fishing and watching Georgia football. Red is survived by his children Ricky davis of Paulding County Georgia, Ronnie davis of Limpkin County Georgia and Shannon Briese of Las Vegas Nevada; Sister Janice Snyder Of Pickens county Georgia; Grandchildren Shelley Twilley of Georgia, Joshua Davis of New York, Austin Ryder of Las Vegas Nevada, Jessica Ryder of New Marshfield Ohio, Zackery Briese of Las Vegas Nevada; Nieces and nephews Larry Mayhall of Las Vegas Nevada, Sammy Davis of Georgia, Chuck Davis of Georgia, Johnny Davis of Georgia, Rodney Davis of Georgia, Darrell Davis of Georgia, Michael Davis of Georgia, Cathy Cunningham of Georgia, Jennifer Dempsey of Georgia.
