Rita Farina McCauley, 83, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, was called home to Heaven Dec. 4, 2013. Rita was born in McKeesport, PA and had lived in Las Vegas since 1975. She was retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. She was an avid sports fan, and especially enjoyed the Las Vegas 51's and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elvira Farina; and her nephew, Victor Farina. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Farina (Patricia); her four children, Thomas McCauley (Shelley), Steven McCauley, Mary Hamlin and Dawn McCauley; three grandchildren, Justin, Rita and Kathryn; and her many nieces, nephews and loving cousins. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd N., Las Vegas, NV 89101. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson, NV 89052.
