Robert Keith "Bob" Bunker, of Las Vegas, drifted off into eternity Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015. From the day he was born, Nov. 16, 1948, Bob's life was an adventure. For Bob, life consisted of peaks and valleys, challenges and triumphs. Bob was the consummate cowboy. From custom saddles to silver spurs to his favorite horse. He traveled many trails throughout his life. In recent years, his faithful dog, Izzy, a Blue Heeler, sometimes led the way and, other times, trotted behind. For the last 20 years of his working life, Bob was in the Engineering Department of the Excalibur Hotel. Bob wanted to see everywhere. He wanted to know everything. In his quest, he traveled. His destinations included Europe and the Mediterranean, Australia, Mexico, Canada, Alaska and the lower 48. He was in awe of the Niagara Falls, and many other marvels of this great world. Because of his thirst for knowledge, he read extensively, always studying and learning about new things. Bob faced a multitude of health challenges. As was his nature, he studied. He sought information. His knowledge and learning helped him face these challenges with dignity and confidence. He was assisted along his journey with the love and friendship of his brother, Gary. Gary has been an anchor, a giver of discipline, a counselor and friend, a best friend. Gary was always there for Bob without hesitation or reservations. Bob will also be remembered by his brother, Richard; sister, Susan; and many nieces, nephews and friends. "Bob, God be with you, and with us, until we meet again." No services are scheduled.
