Robert Floyd Davis, also known as Bob or Bobby, rode into the sunset Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at age 73, in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 30, 1942, in Pasadena, Calif., and was the son of Floyd and Lucile Davis. He attended the University of Arizona and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He was an entrepreneur who operated Rebel Britches clothing stores in Las Vegas, and later was the founder and developer of Robert Davis Homes. He also proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1966-1967, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a well-known competitive rodeo cowboy, state champion bull and bronco rider and was also passionate about golf. He is survived by his children, Matt, Brett, Kelcie and Ryan; grandson, Evan; sister, Valerie; niece, Rossi; and daughter-in-law Angela. His family is planning a memorial at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Angel Park Golf Course, 100 S. Rampart Blvd. In lieu of flowers, a Go Fund Me account has been established in his name to help pay for his memorial.
