Robert Kurt Lundgren, 59, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, due to natural causes. Known as Kurt, he was born March 7, 1955, in Las Vegas, where he remained a life-long area resident. He was an avid piano player and spent many years attending church at Charleston Heights Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Lundgren; and grandparents, Robert A. and Edna (Reed) Lundgren. He leaves behind his mother, Elizabeth (Pavell) Lundgren; his sister, Katharine (Lundgren) Edwards; nephew, Jeremy Lundgren and his wife, Amanda; grandnephew and grandnieces, Collin, Victoria and Ava; niece, Susannah Wessing and her fiance, Lewis Widrig Jr.; grandnieces, Harmony, Lizzy and Adalie; his sister, Brenda Lundgren; nephews, Robby Boyer and David Boyer; his brother, Bryan Lundgren; and many close family friends. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Atria Sutton for providing Kurt with living assistance and being a part of his life. There are many people there with whom he became very good friends. Chapel viewing will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Graveside services will immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Atria Sutton, 3185 E.
