Robert Thomas Mosier, of Las Vegas, was born March 9, 1941, and passed away Nov. 18, 2013. Bob was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He was a 1959 graduate of Upper Arlington High School, attended the Ohio State University and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1962 - 1966, attaining the rank of sergeant. After his military discharge, Bob moved to Los Angeles, and worked for a number of years in passenger service for Amtrak Railroad and Pan American World Airways. He retired to Las Vegas, and pursued numerous entrepreneurial projects. Bob was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps League-Las Vegas, Writers Guild of America, West, Inc. and Pan Amigos, an association of former Pan Am employees. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thoburn Thomas and Dorothy Jane Mosier; sister, Elizabeth Mosier Anderson; best friend, Ray Accetta; cousin, Ronald Mosier; and beloved dog, Mikie III. He is survived by his brother, James F. Mosier; nephew, John Anderson and his family; niece, Jennifer Anderson and her family; many cousins; best friend, Debby Hackett Hirst; brother-in-law, William C Anderson; and many friends. Bob was a bright spot in all our lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be a friends gathering in memory of Bob 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov 26, at Gold Spike, 217 N Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
