Robert C. "Bob" Teubner, 86, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 14, 2012. He was born Sept. 24, 1925, in Baltimore, and was a 35-year resident of Nevada. Bob was born to James E. Teubner and May Prettyman, one of nine children. He married twice and raised seven children. Our Dad loved the big bands and loved to go dancing with his sisters. He graduated from Santa Monica High School. Then he served in the U.S. Navy in World War II as a signalman aboard the USS Otis. He loved to talk about his Navy days so much we recorded his stories. In 1953 he owned Teubner Decorators and worked for a lot of famous people. He retired from the painters local union 159 in Las Vegas 1991. He was a talented artist and painted well over 100 paintings for his children after he retired. Dad was married twice and is a great-grandfather. He loved his children and family very much. We loved him more than words can express! He will be missed beyond measure. Rest in peace, Dad. We will see you in Heaven. Thank you to all the caregivers who helped my dad in his time of need. Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 9 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, 89005. (702) 486-5920.
