Rodrick Clay was born on December 23, 2005, and passed away on July 29, 2025. He will be remembered for his love of basketball, fashion, sneakers, video games, and his ability to make everyone around him laugh. Rodrick shared a special bond with his girlfriend, Harmony, and his presence was a blessing to all who knew him.
A proud graduate of Canyon Springs High School, Class of 2024, Rodrick worked with dedication and determination in every role he held. He was employed as a ride operator at Circus Circus Hotel and Casino, a crew member at McDonald’s, and a warehouse associate at Amazon. No matter the job, Rodrick’s positivity and bright spirit inspired those around him.
His faith was an important part of his life. From a young age, Rodrick was active in his church community, participating in youth ministry and the State Sunshine Band. He also cherished spending time with and helping his grandparents, often lending a hand with yard work and showing his caring, giving nature.
Rodrick leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Elizabeth Bailey and Rodrick Clay Sr.; his sisters, Dosja, Teanna, Desirae, Trinity, Royalty, Dynasty, Aynna, and Olivia; his brothers, Christopher, Demarcus, and Antonio; his nephews, Nathaniel, Hendrix, Kamarreah, and Deshawn; his grandparents, Helen Bailey, Jimmy Bailey, Cynthia Mitchell, and Saleem Higgins; and his great-grandfather, Luther Bailey. He also leaves behind his godbrothers, Jamal, and Jaeden, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Rodrick’s spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who love him.
