TONY MORENO "Tony" Rogelio Moreno, of Las Vegas, was born in Laredo, Texas March 11, 1935. He passed away Jan. 20, 2014, after a valiant fight with cancer. He proudly served his country in the Korean War, was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in 1955 and made his home in Las Vegas since. He owned his own business, Sun City Appliance for many years. He worked for Danny's Bar before retiring in 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosendo and Amelia Moreno; and two brothers, Rosendo Jr. and Raul Moreno. Tony was married for 50 years to Lynn Moreno, who passed away last year. He is survived by his three sons, Rick, Mike and Joe Moreno; and a daughter, Julie Weaver all of Las Vegas. He is also survived by his siblings, Thelma (Humberto) Zuniga, Maria Sanchez, Yolanda Huckabee, Norma (Gilberto) Guerrero, Dolores (Jessie) Gomez, Elia Brooks, Rebecca (Manolo) Brooks, Antonio (Ernestina) Moreno, Roberto (Rosa) Moreno, Elda Satterwhite (Julio Sillas), Rodolfo (Amelia) Moreno and Reynaldo (Olga) Moreno; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Tony loved life and was willing to give whatever he had to help anyone that needed it. He was a great and true to friend to all he knew. He loved to travel and from fishing in Alaska to climbing pyramids in Mexico his passion for life and his family will always be remembered. Visitation will be 5-8 Friday, Jan. 24, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Burial is pending at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
