Ronald Earl Dixson

Ronald Earl Dixson was born on May 16, 1964, in Tallulah, Louisiana. He was the eighth child of Edna Lee Dixson.

Ronald attended Reuben McCall Senior High School in Tallulah, Louisiana graduating with the class of 1982. He was a lifelong learner and started an educational journey where he completed several degrees. In 1992, he graduated from the Community College of the Air Force with an Associate in Applied Science. Ronald graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1998, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Hotel Administration and completed a Masters in Public Administration advanced degree from National University in 2010.

In June of 1991, Ronald married his love, D'Adrain "Camille" Edmond in Los Angeles, California. They remained married for thirty-one years until his passing. During their marriage, they were blessed to celebrate the birth of two daughters, Taylor Nichole and Tori Nachelle.

After working at the Stardust Hotel for some time, Ronald enlisted into the United States Air Force and advanced to the rank of staff sergeant. Ronald's desire to serve is demonstrated by his employment tenure in the public sector with the City of North Las Vegas Detention Center, Clark County School District, State of Nevada Division of Child & Family Services, Nevada Department of Agriculture, and Nevada Department of Corrections.

Ronald enjoyed life through cooking, hunting, lifting weights, and spending time with the passion of his life, his family. Another passion was his love of the Lord. Ronald served as an active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church #2 while living in Tallulah, Louisiana and when he moved to the Las Vegas area he actively served at the North Las Vegas Church of Christ and Bright Angel Church of Christ. Ronald taught Sunday School and participated in numerous leadership roles in the church.

At the age of 58, Ronald entered eternity on Thursday, June 9, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Lee Dixons, and two sisters Shirley Cadney and Glenda Dixson. He is survived by five sisters and two brothers: Louise Cooks, Mary Harvey, Cornell Berry, Carrie South, Tommie Dixson, Teresa Hicks(Darren), and Janice Sansberry, mother-in-law, Alice Faye Whaley, and a host of relatives and friends.
