Rosa Lee Whitehead

Rosa Lee Whitehead, age 50, passed away peacefully on Monday July 30, 2018 at home with her loving family at her side.  She was born September 6, 1967 in Beaufort, South Carolina and was raised by James Simmons and Eleanor Williams.  She was a 1985 graduate of Hilton Head High School; where she received an Art scholarship at Joe Pinckney School of Art. Rosa then went on to open her own business on Etsy in 2009 called “Felt Food Feast”, where she successfully ran it for nine years, making and creating toys and crafts for young children.  Alongside her crafts, Rosa could be found sewing, painting or decorating the house.  All out of love, each piece was uniquely made and carefully thought out.  With such talent, Rosa continued to make public displays for museums, anniversaries and birthdays; leaving a piece of her creativity in everything she made. Despite Rosa’s many accomplishments, Rosa held a special place for her family: her husband and best friend, Bert Whitehead, her children; Paul Martel, Aaron Jackson, Kayla Whitehead, Kena Whitehead and her grandchildren; Harper Martel, Zayden Jackson and Aaliyah Jackson.  Rosa takes with her; her family’s’ love and cherished moments; leaving us with smiles, giggles and loving memories.
