Rose Mcquade

November 15, 1929 — March 10, 2013

ROSE MCQUADE Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Rose McQuade, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, peacefully passed away at home March 10, 2013. Born and raised in New York City, Rose graduated from Hunter College. She met and married James McQuade and became a mother. She was a successful realtor in the midwest, on the east coast and in the Las Vegas area. Rose was an enthusiastic volunteer for several charities including St. Jude's Ranch for Children and Hillcrest Hospital. She also devoted much of her time to the organizations within her church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, as well as the Los Prados Women's Club, and Town Club. Over the years, Rose was an avid and skilled bridge player. Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 50 years, James. She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Lavigne and Susan Evans, both of Las Vegas. She also leaves behind her brother, Antonio Perez of Garnerville, N.Y.; and her five grandchildren, Kris, Jeff, Jenny, Ronnie and Anthony, all of Las Vegas. Rose is and will continue to be lovingly remembered by her family and friends as someone who had a flair for enjoying and living life to its fullest. Her positive attitude, kind words and quick smile will be missed by all who knew her. Mass will be offered by Father Gerald Grupczynski, whom Rose became fond of during her recent pilgrimage throughout Poland last fall. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, March 18, at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89106. Following the Mass, Rose will be reunited with her husband at Memory Garden Memorial Park, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Ranch for Children.
