ROSE RALENKOTTER Beloved wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rose Marie Ralenkotter, 83, of Las Vegas, passed away April 16, 2011. She was born June 1, 1927, in Walton, Ky., and was a 60-year resident of Nevada. Donald and Rose moved to Las Vegas in 1951. Donald worked in the gaming industry, while Rose was a homemaker who was involved in a variety of activities. She was a member of the Parents Club at both St. Joseph's Catholic Grade School and Bishop Gorman High School. She was a "baseball mom" for over 20 years. She was a gifted knitter, an avid bingo player and a great bowler who was very proud of her 162 average. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald. Rose is survived by her devoted and loving son, Rossi; and daughter-in-law, Mary Jo. She is also survived by her sisters, Wanda (Carnes), Judy (Bain) and Colina "Frankie" (Cain), all residing in northern Kentucky; five grandchildren, Kathy (John) Keating, Todd (Laurie Ann) Ralenkotter, Robyn Donaldson (fiancee, Micheal Shackelford) Tami (Fred) Nilsen and Tiffany (Jared) Chupaila; nine great-grandchildren, Caroline and Bridget Keating, Austin, Alexa and Ashton Ralenkotter, Michael and Ryan Nilsen, and Mia and Jaxson Chupaila. Also, the family and grandchildren of Tom and Diane Keating held a special place in Rose's heart. Rose loved her family dearly. Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at St. Viator's Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Joseph's Catholic Grade School or Bishop Gorman High School.
