July 28, 1945  -  June 23, 2022

Rosemary was the 5th child born to Henry (Dutch) and Ruth Rice. She was born in Geneva, Illinois. Her siblings include Arnold, Robert, Janet (Larsen) and Thomas.

The family lived in Warrenville, Illinois until 1961 when Dutch, Ruth, Jan, Tom and Rosemary moved to Carlsbad, California. Rosemary commuted to Carlsbad to finish her final year at Carlsbad High School where she graduated in 1963. Tom joined the Air Force in 1964 and Jan married in 1964. In 1968, Dutch, Ruth and Rosemary moved to Tucson, then to Phoenix, Arizona. They eventually settled in Las Vegas in 1977 at Palm Grove Mobile Home Park where Rosemary lived till her death.

Rosemary loved her family which included a brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews , great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and numerous first cousins. Her family and dear friends loved her. They will miss her big smile, warm hugs and sense of humor.

Rosemary worked for many different jobs. In California she worked the snack bar in a bowling alley where she made the best apple pies. No one could make apple pies like she could. When they moved to Las Vegas she worked as a slot machine mechanic, a job not held by many women.

Rosemary worked as a travel agent for Prestige Travel until she retired, which sparked her own interest in traveling. Those travels took her on a once in a lifetime trip to Russia and more recently trips to Nova Scotia. In Nova Scotia she was a part of a family with the Anne Murray Center, she has many friends there who will miss her.

Her hobbies included bowling with her sister and mother in their younger years in California. In Las Vegas she enjoyed spending time with her many friends and her beloved dogs.

She also enjoyed writing; Rosemary was a published author. Other interests included reading, needlepoint, cross stitch and quilting. She had made many quilts for family and friends which they will treasure now that she has gone to her "Forever Home" where she joined her Father and Mother and Jesus.

Rosemary's Memorial Service will be held at Bunkers Eden Vale Mortuary on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. She was laid to rest on Tuesday, July 5th at Memory Gardens Memorial Park on West Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas.
