Ruby White

Ruby Louise Stewart White, 91, passed away Aug. 15, 2016, at home. She was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Guthrie Center, Iowa. Ruby moved from Iowa in 1952 to Whitney, Nev., and was a 64-year resident of Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clare White; son-in-law, Kenneth Leavitt; daughter, Ginger Musso; son, Jacob (JC) White; and daughter, Sonjia Orton. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Leavitt of Angola, N.Y.; sister, Edith Bowen of Kansas; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Ruby was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW Women's Auxiliary post 10047. Ruby went to work at the age of 83 taking care of "old people" for Visiting Angels because she didn't want to stay at home. There will be a get together remembrance will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Ruby's home.
