Russiano Decaro

Russiano Decaro, 87, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015. He was born July 24, 1928, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Philomena Florio and Crercinero Decaro. Russ came to the United States in 1954, to start a new life and to live the American Dream. He married Mariam Montoya Beltran, May 14, 1966, in Virginia City. Russ was a master mechanic who loved fast imported cars and enjoyed racing and repairing them. Together Russ and Mariam opened Import Auto Repair in downtown Las Vegas. Their 40-year marriage was filled with happiness, many family trips, and camping. Russ was a very special and generous person who was devoted to his wife Mariam, who preceded him in death. Russ was a very devout Catholic who loved the Lord and held very strong religious beliefs. Russ loved sharing his knowledge with everyone around him and he was dedicated to his friends and family. He is survived by his twin daughters, Jan Davis of Roy, Utah, and Laurie Roberts of Ogden, Utah; and grandson, Billy Surbrook of San Diego. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Remembrance Mausoleum, Eden Vale Memorial Park, 1216 N. Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
