Ruth Gladys Kline, 92, a retired land assessor, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 11, 2012. Ruth was born March 1, 1919 in New York City, attended boarding school in Long Island, and was a 64-year resident of Nevada. She was pursuing an acting career until she married Harold D. Kline in 1941 when she became a full-time homemaker. She moved with her family to Las Vegas in 1947. She was active in the Republican party and Christ Church Episcopal. She worked for Clark County as a land assessor until 1989. She was a devoted wife to Harold D. Kline until his death in 1972. She was a beloved mother to Richard Kline (Diane) and Irene Kline Wells (Kirby), and a loving, caring grandmother to Kevin, Deanna, Brett, Carrie, Colin, and Cameron. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, at Christ Church Episcopal, 2000 Maryland Parkway.
