Ruth Walker

RUTH WALKER Ruth Kelly Walker, 90, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 28, 2015. She was born Jan. 4, 1925, in Pickens, S.C., to Ivey Clarence Kelly and Sophie Hunt Kelly. She was a long-time resident of Las Vegas. She married Melvin Thomas Walker Dec. 13, 1943, in Baltimore. They were married for 31 years before he preceded her in death. Ruth was a 50-year member of Sunrise Southern Baptist Church. She is survived by two sisters, Una (Harold) Welborn and Clara (Ansel) Anderson; two daughters, Patsy (Jim) McAllister and Betty Walker; a son, Thomas (Carol) Walker; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
