Sally Jackson

SALLY JACKSON In loving memory of Sally Lorraine Williams Jackson, of Las Vegas, a beautiful woman in spirit and appearance, who passed away peacefully Aug. 16, 2013, to be with her husband and with God in Heaven. Sally was born in Culver City, Calif., March 28, 1932. Sally married Virgil Leon Jackson Aug. 14, 1955. Sally was a devoted mother and homemaker, raising her family and entertaining friends (as well as most of the neighborhood children!). For many years, Sally was the team mother when young Virgil played baseball. She loved cooking, playing cards, laughing with friends and applying her considerable creativity to decorating their home with her husband for the holidays. Virgil and Sally's backyard barbecues were legendary. In her earlier years, she was Miss Las Vegas Police Department on their float in the Helldorado parade. Sally was a stewardess with Bonanza Airlines. When her family was raised, Sally went to work for American Greeting Cards, from where she retired. She is survived by her three wonderful children, Virgil II and his wife, Tracy of Medford, Ore., Sara Keyes and her husband, Michael of Star, Idaho, and Theresa Bivins and her husband, Mark of Las Vegas; and her grandchildren. Sally's family would like to thank European Home Care for their attentive and gracious care for the past three years. Services are private for the family.
