Loving husband, father, and grandfather, Samuel Charles "Sam" Fantauzzi, 70, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 11, 2016. Sam is survived by his loving wife, of 45 years, Diane; his five children, Phillip (Shari), Justin (Lisa), Tony (Lindsay), Darren (Glory) and Sarah (Mike); and his many loving grandchildren, whom will love him forever. Sam was born in Wheeling, W.Va., and then moved to Las Vegas when he was 15. He served an LDS mission to New York City during the New York World's Fair in the LDS pavilion. After two years of service, he was quickly drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. He returned home and earned an accounting degree at UNLV while married with two children. He worked at the Clark County Business License Department for 33 years. Sam's greatest love was his family. He traveled frequently to visit with his children and grandchildren.
