Samuel J. Mart

Samuel Joseph Mart, 89, passed away peacefully at home Jan. 29, 2012. Sam was born May 22, 1922 in Johnsonberg, Pa. He resided in Las Vegas for the last 50 years. He was the proud owner of Mama Mia's Restaurant for 10 years. He also worked as a baker for 60 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathleen Mart, to whom he was married 62 years. He is survived by his children, Randy Mart and Shelley Nicholas; his grandchildren, Alaina Bailey, Andrea Campbell, Vanessa Peart, Audra Trimeloni, Shawn and Shayler Gheen; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was a kind, generous, loving, and loyal husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was an inspiration to many who knew him and will forever be in our hearts. Services will be from 10 a.m.-noon, Friday, Feb. 3, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Burial to follow.
