Shelia Marie Dent

Shelia Marie Dent was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 13, 2022, at the age of 70. She passed away peacefully with her husband, children, and grandchildren by her side. She was the daughter of the late James and Rosetta Dent.

Shelia was born, raised, and lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for most of her life. After Hurricane Katrina, she relocated with her family to Las Vegas, Nevada which she called home.

Shelia was a graduate of L. B. Landry class of 1969. She attended Straight Business College. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Healthcare Professional for many years in both New Orleans, Louisiana, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Shelia was a woman of many interests and talents. She loved cooking, tennis, decorating her home, and most importantly spending time with her family. As a lifelong New Orleans Saints fan, Dent as we called her never stopped screaming Who Dat!!

Shelia had a divine presence and was a wonderful wife and mother who made every place her family lived a warm and inviting home.

Shelia is preceded in death by her parents James and Rosetta Dent, her brother Eugene (Turk) Hunt, sister Thelma Brown and stepbrother John Henry Dent.

Shelia is survived by her husband Henry Turner Sr., daughters; Tiffany Wilson (Vicki), and Keyotta Wilson Porche (Jermaine), son; Ire Turner (Tanya), Her grandkids; Keyera and Jasmine Porche, Kaiyan Wilson, and Brooklyn Turner. Her siblings; Roena Dent, Kenneth Dent (Cassandra), Karla Conrad (Frank), and a host of nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends.

The services will be held at Bunkers Eden Vale Funeral Home located at 925 Las Vegas Blvd North, Las Vegas, Nevada 89101 on Friday, August 19 at 12:00 pm PST.
