Dr. Sheryl L. Potter-Peccole, 44, an optometrist, from Las Vegas, passed away October 11, 2011. She was born in Las Vegas June 16, 1967, and spent the majority of her life living in the Las Vegas valley. A Western High School graduate, Sheryl studied at UNLV before completing a Doctorate of Optometry in 1994 at the Southern California College of Optometry. She returned to Las Vegas to practice, and became a partner at Optic Gallery, where she worked until her passing. A beloved mother, daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend, Sheryl fought a long, hard battle against breast cancer for five years. To all those that have known and loved her, we are more blessed for paying witness to the life she lived, and the battle she fought. Sheryl is survived by her husband, Robert Peccole; son, Robbie; daughter, Katie; parents, Ray (Pat) Potter; sisters, Shiela Burns, Carolyn Potter and Dawn Cau; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Shadow Hills Church located at 7811 Vegas Drive. Donations can be made in Sheryl's name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or Nathan Adelson Hospice.
