Shirley Casden, 84, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Nov. 9, 2016, in the comfort of her home, with family by her side. Shirley was born April 5, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the youngest of five children, to Ethel and Hyman Galitzky. She moved to Las Vegas in 1976 and before retiring, enjoyed an esteemed career of over 30 years at Lotus Broadcasting. Shirley was loved by all that knew her, and to her grandchildren, the best grandma there ever was. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; two brothers; and son-in-law, Rudy Vozzola Jr. Shirley is survived by her husband, of 63 years, Lewis Casden; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Cohen and Terry Galet; son, Arthur Casden (Gloria); daughter, Toby Vozzola; grandsons, David Casden and Eric, Ben and Ryan Vozzola; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Viewing will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas, NV 89101.
