Shirley M. (Johnson) Zernickow

Shirley, born April 21, 1926 in Kenosha, Wisconsin passed away on Christmas Day, 2020 at the age of 94. She moved to Junction City, KS during her school years. She married her high school sweet heart, Wilbur in 1946. Shirley worked as a Medical Assistant while Wilbur was a letter carrier until they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1962. Shirley retired in 1981 after working many years for Dr. Samuel Ford. She and Wilbur enjoyed traveling and caring for grandchildren as long as their health allowed. Nothing was more important to them then "their kids".

Shirley is survived by her sister, Donna Clancy, Spokane, WA, her daughter, Barbara Belt and is the very special Nana to all of the grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Two granddaughters are Rachel (Richard) Loeks and Renee (Jason) Meyer. The great grandchildren - Hunter, Josh, Brittany, Dustin, Eric, Rachel, Cortney, Nicholas, Tomas, Cody, Christian and Jacob. Great Great Grandchildren - Aaliyah, Ethan, Aydenn, Myloh, Audrina, Audrey, Ava Mari, Ella and Alice.
