It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Stephanie Sammuon-Robitaille on the evening of Friday, September 26th, peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.
For nearly two years, she fought a fierce and courageous battle with stage 4 colon cancer. Though the illness weakened her body, it never touched her unbreakable spirit. She kept her sass and sharp wit until the very end.
She was full of life, loud, hilarious, generous, fiercely independent, and unapologetically herself. She lived boldly, loved deeply, and voiced her opinions loudly.
She chose to live life on her own terms and never backed down from doing things her way.
In 1975, she immigrated to the United States after escaping the Cambodian genocide (Pol Pot's regime.) Alone and determined, she forged a new life in Las Vegas Nevada without her family nearby.
Despite every obstacle, she built a life she was incredibly proud of, a life of resilience, independence, and success.
Her greatest joy and proudest achievement was her son, Logan. She would call him her miracle baby; she loved him more than life itself and was endlessly proud of the young man he is becoming.
She was truly one of a kind, a force of nature, and the void left by her absence is immeasurable. But while our hearts are heavy, we find peace in knowing she is no longer in pain.
We will miss her every day. Her legacy of strength, humor, and love will live on in all of us.
While joining her beloved father and daughter, Chaunte in heaven, she is survived by her devoted husband James, her cherished son Logan, her loving mother, three sisters, two brothers, brother in-law, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, 6:30 pm. at Bunkers Chapel.
