Tommy G. Jones, of Las Vegas, was born Sept. 30, 1948 and passed away Feb. 24, 2013. He graduated from Russellville High, Ark., in 1966. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having been drafted in 1968 and serving in the Vietnam War. He married Nancy Ingle Aug. 7, 1971, in Runnemede, N.J. They started their family in West Fork, Ark., and 13 years later moved to Valley Center, Kan. In 1999, the family made their present home in Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Nancy; his children, son and daughter-in-law, Thomas "Rusty" and Brandy Jones, son-in-law and daughter, Jason and Stacey Sharman, and son-in-law and daughter, Nathan and Amanda Clay; grandkids, Jason and Joshua Sharman, Cora and Alison Jones, and Owen and Willa Clay; many nieces and nephews; and friends. Public viewing will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, March 4, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Funeral services will be at 10:40 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name for Habitat for Humanity at habitatlasvegas.org "Rest in peace, Popeye."
