Venus E. Wood, 90, passed away December 31, 2012. She was born March 22, 1922 in Bates, Idaho, to Sadie Forbush and Owen Daniels. Venus is survived by her son Dennis Wood (Denise) of Las Vegas, Nevada, two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 sisters and 2 brothers. Venus was a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico for 6 years and 58 years in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and crossword puzzles. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Services will be held Tuesday, January 8th, 1pm at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 N. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada.
