Verna Louise Humble

Verna Louise “Bobby” Humble of Las Vegas, passed away April 24, 2015 at Nathan Adelson Hospice after a short illness.  She was born February 12, 1927 in Sperry, Oklahoma to George J. Cook and Minnie Goodenough.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Alice Cornett.  Bobby is survived by her husband Charles “Chuck”, sons Allen (Coleen), Steven and Jerry (Rebecca), 4 granddaughters, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, brother Joe Cook and sister Kay Ewing.  Bobby moved to Las Vegas with her husband and 3 boys in 1959.  She retired in 1982 after 22 years with First National Bank.  Bobby enjoyed crocheting, bowling and spending time with her family.  Visitation will be 4-8 pm Friday, May 1st, at Bunker’s Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Las Vegas, Nevada.  Memorial services will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 2nd, at Bunker’s Mortuary.  Burial will be private at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.
