Walter M. Earls Jr., 68, of Las Vegas, passed away New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, 2011, after a seven-year battle with prostrate cancer. He was born Aug. 18, 1943, in Covington, Ky., and was a 47-year resident of Nevada. Walter served in the U.S. Air Force. He owned Pampered Puppies and was fortunate enough to do a job he loved. When a pet leaves this Earth, they go to the Rainbow Bridge to wait for their loved ones, they now have the gentle groomer to take care and love them until that time. Walter was preceded in death by his father, Walter M. Earls; mother, Virginia Simpson; stepfather, James Simpson; and son, John Earls. Walter is survived by his devoted wife, of 32 years, Rosella; stepson, Phillip Carter; son, Jim; daughter, Vicky; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Jeriel - daughter of John; and Will, his best friend. There will be a celebration of his life at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Boodles, 7002 W. Charleston Blvd. Donations can be made to the Nevada SPCA or the Nevada Cancer Institute.
