Wayne C. Pyles, born February 23, 1949 in Las Vegas Nevada, passed away December 7, 2013 in Clearwater, Florida. He is survived by his son Robert W (Susan) Pyles of Clearwater, brothers Leonard (Noreen), Leslie, Richard (Lex), sister Linda, and grandchildren Robert and Julia. Wayne, second-generation born Las Vegan, graduated from Clark High School in 1967. Although he never played due to injury, Wayne was a member of Nevada Southern University's (now known as UNLV) first recruiting class for football that following year. Wayne went on to a varied and distinguished career. He worked in the garden industry for Las Vegas Fertilizer, Capel Klang, and up to the date of his death Color Spot Nursery. Between the late 1970s and mid-1980s Wayne worked for Jack Kent Cooke, owner of the Washington Redskins, Los Angeles Lakers, and Los Angeles Kings. Wayne moved from Las Vegas to Beaver, Utah in the early-1990s and found tranquility in the mountain air. He was a resident of Beaver, Utah when he passed. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and off-roading with his son, grandchildren, friends, and extended family. He was especially proud of his grandchildren Robert and Julia, whom he loved dearly and revered the time he spent with them. Wayne will be sorely missed by all of those whose lives he's touched.
