William Ross "Bill" Barnum went to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011. He was born in Pioche and was a 45-year resident of Las Vegas. He worked at the Tonopah Test Site for 11 years when the stealth fighter plane was developed. He also owned and operated his own trucking business. He was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who touched and inspired many. He never met a stranger but showed kindness to all. His greatest joy in life was being with his grandchildren and meeting their needs. He will be greatly missed by all. Bill was preceded in death by his father, James Alvin Barnum; mother, Delila Potter; brothers, Zolan Elmo Tanner and James Elroy. Bill is survived by his loving wife, of 18 years, Lucy; his sister, Aldine Barnum Mosier; 10 children, Randy Barnum, Margaret Jones, Delilia Auten, Billy Barnum, Wilma Barnum, Jamie Barnum, Rebecca Barnum, Claudia O'Gara, Sergio and Carla; 24 grandkids; and 12 great-grandkids. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. Celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
