On February 8, 2026, at the age of 76, William "Bill" Nelson Peters was called home. He was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 3, 1949. He was the oldest of five children. He attended Rancho High School, where during his high school years, was in a band that provided music for many church dances. After graduating In 1968, Nelson devoted 2 years of his life to serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ireland. He was a man who worked hard no matter what job it was, from Vegas Village to Union Pacific Railroad, from owning his own machine shop to Clark County Public Administrator/Public Guardian. Nelson loved the outdoors, music, and working on cars, but most of all, he loved his family. He always said that he did everything for his children, something that he did his best to live up to, whether it was attending school functions, going on family vacations, fixing up vehicles, he was always there for them. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lynn and Ida Peters. He is survived by his remaining siblings, Stephen Peters, Lynda Fowkes, Danny Peters, and Donald Peters; two children, Hannah Homer (Nicholas), and William Benjamin Peters (Desiree); and three grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Abbygaile, Evalyn, and Andrew. He was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed. Until we meet again, Brother, Father, and Grandfather.
