William Donivon Porter, Jr

Our father William Donivon “Bud” Porter left this world on October 6, 2023 at the age of 87.

He suffered a stroke at his homestead in Las Vegas NV. While putting up a good fight to stay with us, he finally passed away a few weeks later.

William, fondly known as “Bud”, was a loving husband to his wife and a loving father and grandfather to his 6 kids and many grandchildren.

Bud was born to William Donivon Porter, Sr and Dorothy Jenson on January 11, 1936 in California. He grew up in southern California and served in the Navy for 6 years and then joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he soon met the love of his life, our mother Doris Ada Porter, in which they married on May 24,1969.

“Bud” is survived by his wife Doris and his 6 children, Kurt, Kandy, Kevin, Kory, Kerry and Ky and the many grandchildren who have followed.

Our dad was a very gentle soul who will be missed very much.

Bud’s Family will host a funeral service on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 9:30am.

The service will be at Bunker’s Mortuary at 925 N Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas NV, 89101.
