Willie George Clark was born October 26, 1944 in Star City, Arkansas to Martee Alston and Will Clark. He was the youngest of five children. As a young child his hair was a brownish blond color. His nickname became “Blondie†from then on.
Willie was baptized as a young child at Wade Chapel in Star City, Arkansas by his older brother Reverend Lockwood O’Neal. He attended Star City schools and Graduated from Lincoln High School. Soon after high school he joined the United States Navy. This enabled him to travel and experience different parts of the world. Upon discharge, he reloceated to St. Louis, Missouri where his brother Alfred was residing.
Soon after to going to St. Louis, he was able to gain employment with General Motors Coropration he worked for 34 years and retired January 1, 2002. He met and married Yvonne Crawford and to this union Yolanda Clark was born. While in St. Louis, Willie attended New Sunny Mont Baptist Church. He later married Georgia Herron. Although the marriage dissolved, they had two daughters, Tracie and Angela Clark.
In 2014, Wille & Margaret Drew relocated from St. Louis, MO to Las Vegas, NV to be closer to his daughter Yolanda, his grand children, & family. Wille transitioned his life on August 26, 2018. His mother, Martee Alston, brother Lockwood O’Neal, Sister Laura Mae Hutson and grandson Jacob Lawrence preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter Yolanda Whittier & her husband Terrence Whittier of (Las Vegas, NV), daughters Tracie, Angela Clark and Ashley Mann of (St. Louis, Mo), sister Lucille Adams of (Chicago, IL), brother Alfred Alston and his wife Marilyn Alston of (Las Vegas, NV), grandchildren Sean Buchannon, De’Vonsha Whittier, Jada Davis, Jonathan Clark, Joshua Clark, Caleb Clark & Brenna Mann, great grand daughters Ka’Nauhii Graham and KaL’Leiyah Dukes, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
