Obituary

Willie Joiner, Jr., 68, of Las Vegas, Nevada returned home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2026.

The youngest of five siblings, Willie was born and raised in Las Vegas and shared many happy times

with his family and friends. After graduating from High School, Willie began working at the Riviera

Hotel and Casino, where he remained for 33½ years before retiring.

Willie built a life centered on God, family, church, and service to others. A devoted Christian, Willie

served as a deacon and faithful member of Kingdom Family International. Later in life, he married

Geraldine and together they continued their walk with the Lord. He remained firm in helping and

supporting others in their times of need.

As a beloved uncle, Willie was adored by his nieces and nephews with whom he shared jokes,

laughter, sports, and fun. He also shared insightful knowledge, guidance and supported them

through many endeavors and stages of life. He always reminded them to treat themselves and

others with respect.

Willie also loved to cook and shared home cooked meals with family and friends, mainly his loving

sister with whom he shared a close protective bond. He also loved playing, coaching, and watching

sports. His favorite football team was the LA (San Diego) Chargers, and his favorite basketball team

was the Philadelphia 76ers.

He was a caring, selfless, loving presence and mentor to many. He was a protector with a kind

welcoming smile, fun sense of humor and liked to joke and spread laughter to all. Mostly he enjoyed

learning and teaching God’s word.

You are loved and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Rest peacefully in Heaven.
