David De Vore Cable Jr

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David De Vore Cable Jr., of Las Vegas, Monday, March 6, 2023. He was born August 10, 1944, in Orange, TX, the son of David De Vore Cable Sr. & Juel Smith-Shaughnessy. His parents both remarried and he was one of ten siblings.

He retired after many years of working in the casino industry and enjoyed traveling with his wife and their dog Rocky, who recently passed as well.  He was an avid golfer and traveled with his golf clubs almost everywhere he went.  He always had a smile, a joke and always advised not to allow stress in one’s life.

David was preceded in death by his son (Ronnie Cable), both of his parents and their spouses as well as 1 brother and 3 sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Guiao Cable, his son Justin Cable (Stacy) and his daughter Debbie Perry (Mike).  He is also survived by 2 brothers, 3 sisters, 7 grandkids, 6 great-grandkids and many nieces and nephews.
