Eric Andrew Wathogoma
August 15, 1992 ~ January 28, 2024 (age 31) 31 Years Old
We are immensely saddened to announce that Eric Wathogoma passed away in the early hours of January 28th, 2024. Eric Wathogoma, tribal member of the Yavapai-Apache Nation, was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 15th, 1992, he is survived by his parents Donald and Andrea Harper, son Jayden Wathogoma, and siblings Mario Wathogoma Johnson, Christopher Wathogoma Johnson, Andrew Wathogoma, and Amanda Wathogoma, and many relatives. Being the middle son in the family, Eric was undoubtedly humorous by maintaining peace among his siblings. He learned to be a good listener and had patience that grew into his role of being a single father to his son. Eric’s happiest moments were spent with his family at home watching movies and traveling to see family in Arizona and Nevada. Some of his favorite places were visiting San Diego beaches and attending sporting events. Eric enjoyed watching football and pretty much all sports as he converted from being a San Diego Chargers fan to the Las Vegas Raider’s which made his family proud. Eric played tackle football from 3rd grade to high school varsity at Durango High School. He most enjoyed playing sports against his siblings, as they were all naturally competitive. Eric undoubtedly carried a kind heart and unique soul that left us too soon. This loss is completely unexpected and our family mourns his passing deeply.
