Gilbert Owen Babcock

February 26, 2019 ~ July 15, 2019

Tribute

Gilbert "Gil" Babcock, 76, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, passed away, July 15, 2019. He was born February 26, 1943, in Overton, Nevada. He had a successful career as an Electrical Salesman and could find any part needed for basically anything. Gilbert loved exploring the outdoors and enjoyed the time he spent hunting and fishing with his family, especially his cousins David and Troy Tanner, and Bobby Ray who were all like the sons he never had! He taught all those around him the true meaning of having fun while creating havoc in those hills. His entire family will miss him, and they will always keep his memory alive in their hearts. Although we will mourn the physical loss, Gil's spirit will be in a much better place to look over his many loved ones. He was preceded in death by his father, James Evan Babcock; mother, Margery Babcock; and brother, James Boyden Babcock. Gilbert is survived by his sister-in-law, Lise Babcock; niece, Margery Babcock; grand-nieces (whom he loved dearly & tried his best to make them little cowboys), Megan and Morgan Adamson; nephew, James Babcock.
